adidas Celebrates the History of Jacquard With ZX 5000 “Vieux Lyon” 

With the arrival of ZX 5000 “Vieux Lyon” sneaker, adidas has continued its A-ZX series. This new silhouette takes its name from the city of Lyon, where the Jacquard weaving technique was invented. In reference to this, the ZX 5000 “Vieux Lyon” celebrates craftsmanship, design, and innovation.

The sneaker appears in two colors for an all-over woven custom Jacquard upper. The heel and toebox are wrapped around in a muted gray color, with a dark purple section around the ankle and across the tongue. Custom lace jewels, pink Three Stripe branding, and sock liners declaring “La Marque Aux 3 Bandes,” the French translation of adidas’ classic “The Brand with the Three Stripes” slogan, finish off the upper. This upper sits atop the ZX 5000’s signature sole unit.
