Well this is not the first time that Adidas tried to experiment and create a blend of their two classic silhouette. Specially this year, where Adidas Superstar is celebrating its 50th anniversary, we have seen a lot of new silhouette such as the “SuperStan” a hybrid of Superstar and Stan Smith which might a be result of the company’s fusion driven mentality.
Just like Raf Simons added Torsion graphics to the Stan Smith last year, similarly this year Adidas has decided to treat the upper of it’s ZX8000 by giving it a vintage superstar outfit. The upper of the shoe is blessed with a classic combination of black and white. The iconic 3 stripes have been kept black and a shell appears on the toe with a tan hue to create a work in look. To add a little more to it’s vintage aesthetics, the midsole is done in mustard yellow rounded off with a black treaded outsole.
This shoe will be globally available very soon and has already hit the European market with a price tag of $140.
