Since its inaugural release in 2016, adidas NMD R1 has become one of the most influential and biggest lifestyle classics in adidas Originals till date. A half decade since its debut, NMD has been releasing alternate makeups all the way from sock-inspired styles to trail-ready models; but now it’s going back to its roots with the OG inspired colorways: “Core Black”, “Cloud White” and “Grey Four”. “Core Black” was first ever NMD colorway however, the others are a little different and inspired from the friends-and-family model that never had a retail release.
The upper has denied the Primeknit and opted for standard mesh. “Core Black” and “Cloud White” both are equipped with tonal branding and heel clips while “Grey Four” is contrasted with black hits in both spots. All three styles are aided with heel tabs that are easy to wear and remove and are completed with a white BOOST midsole with a true OG NMD detail – red and blue EVA foam “bricks”.
The estimated release is expected to be around June 1 on the adidas webstore. The retailed price is estimated around 140 USD.
