Jordan Brand isn’t planning on taking 2022 easy, confirming a bunch of new colorways for the first quarter of the calendar year. Adding to the most recent “French Blue” and monochrome offering in Black, White, and Cool Grey for early 2022 is this fraternal Air Jordan 1 High OG “Omega Psi Phi”
Owning its foundation to the year 1911, Omega Psi Phi is the first fraternal organization founded at a historically black university. Michael who happened to join during his years at UNC and been sported carrying the frat’s signature ‘hooks’, wearing OPP tees, and even an Omega motif branded into his chest. Clearly the fraternity had a big role in MJs personal life, it was only fair to reciprocate that into his footwear line, too.
As per the reports from zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, the pair will appear in a mix of the OPP hues in Bred Toe blocking. Mid panels of white leather, toes, heels, and ankle flaps of University Gold, and remaining leather panels in purple can be anticipated. White nylon tongues will rest below purple laces, and the pair will be capped off with a white and gold sole unit beneath.
Take a look at the anticipated render below. No particular date has been set yet but expectations can be made for an early 2022 release. The pair will be priced at a retail of $170 which will be available to shop at Nike.com , StockX , Stadium Goods , GOAT and eBay.
