Reebok has really been pumping out an incredible amount of sneakers recently, as they have prepared three pairs of the popular Allen Iverson designed silhouette “Question” (which you can still get at Veg-Non Veg and SuperKicks, you’re welcome), and they have also unveiled other upcoming collaborations.
One of these collaborations, with Japanese imprint Mountain Research, and they are now applying their design philosophies to a more casual, mainstream silhouette, the Alien Stomper. Setsumasa Kobayashi, the main design at Mountain Research, used to work on high top sneakers, incorporating velro as one of the main design elements, back when Mountain Research was known as General Research.
This type of design language is clearly seen on the Reebok collaboration also. The lockdown regions of the shoe are adorned with “Fold And Turn Over After Going Thru Eyelet” and “Keep Strapped To Hold Firmly” notations.
These are placed next to the MR branding, which is seen on the tongues, featuring their signature “civil disobedience anarchists mountaineers saunterer + punks” slogan, which is printed on the interior.
For those looking to buy this pair, it’ll be dropping at Reebok retailers on the 8th of May.
