Florida A&M University, the third largest historically black university in the United States, and Nike entered into a multi-year collaboration in 2021 to create athletic footwear, uniforms, and clothing for FAMU (Florida A&M University) players.
Now that they are working together, the special edition Dunk Low will be releasing by late 2022 and will have FAMU’s distinctive green and gold color way. The shoe is made of a clean white leather foundation with golden orange overlays, laces, and lining. The green Swooshes further the design’s snakeskin aesthetics.
The shoe is covered by FAMU logos, including the “Rattler” (the rattlesnake mascot) on the tongues and heels embroidered with the founding year of the organization, 1887. The words “COLAC” (College of Love and Charity) and “WE BRAGG DIFFERENT” are displayed above the white midsoles on the heels and lateral forefoots, respectively. Translucent graphic outsoles below complete the look.
Overall, this is a killer of a dunk that every non FAMU student would love to have.
