Balenciaga‘s SS21 show gave a new look after the post pandemic fashion show offered ample of designs with comfort as their main focal point. The show gave us a first look at fashion house’s latest sneaker design the X-Pander.
The shoe shares its aesthetics with the Track and Track 2 sneakers and has a distinct touch of 90’s and early 00’s to it. The upper has a mesh base with mixed material overlays and the branding on the shoe is kept minimal; first looks of this sneaker do not scream Balenciaga in any way. The chunky uniquely cut midsole is a stand out and this sneaker’s heel is mounted on a spring like structure for that matter. Balenciaga’s become known for their wild sneaker designs and this sneaker has sort of futuristic weird looking midsole which has become a trademark of Balenciaga’s designs. Be it Triple S or Tyrex shoe every sneaker has some crazy touch to it. In terms of functionality, X-Pander looks to be the craziest of all.
