Birkenstock and Proenza Shcouler have now collectively created an all new collection, with the offerings sporting a utilitarian look. The pieces have been born as a result of appreciation for the comfort and practicality of the Birkenstock sandal. Inspiration for the collection is derived from utilitarian workwear and athletic footwear.
The creators aim to dress the classic Arizona and Milano in a more classy yet practical fashion, which is appropriate to wear while doing manual work. With elements such as polished, specchio calf leather and a hook-and-loop mechanism to ensure both ease and comfort, the offerings are certainly sticking to the ideology behind the pair. Other details that set the pair apart are hardware buckles and the industrial contrast topstitching, which further reimagine and redefine the classic Birkenstock sandal.
Proenza Shcouler’s signature colour palettes are reflected in the colourways of the available offerings. With iterations available in vibrant cobalt blue, rustic luggage burgundy, and elevated neutrals in black and ecru, this collection becomes a perfect late summer/early fall collection.
Additionally, King Princess has been announced as the face of the campaign, photographed by Collier Schorr. The brand and Shcouler both believe that the New York singer is the perfect representative for the campaign, with her individuality, and the confidence that she carries herself with.
The collection is here now in India and you can cop them here
