Nike has tapped a handful of retailers from around the world to re-envision the classic hoops silhouette in their own unique ways, capitalizing on the renaissance of the Dunk. Notre and Bodega have been included into the project, in terms of the street-wear shops based in the United States, the latter being the latest entity to tease its forthcoming collaboration.
Boston-based imprints has went out on a limb in terms of its design execution, if we look at the sample of Nike Dunk High project. The heels, lateral/medial sides, as well as atop the ankle collars have heaps
of the exposed stitches which channel the aesthetic of the seams on baseball (potential nod to their hometown Boston Red Sox).
The Swooshes host a marbled pattern done up in espresso colors arrive
in jeweled form. The uppers, which are primarily hued in “Sail”, feature tonal, intricate embroidery across its overlays, hairy suede quarter panels, and the retailer’s moniker embossed on the interior sidewall. The “Birch” colored treading rounds out the shoe, below.
