In honor of the 20th anniversary of the iconic studio album ‘In Search Of…’, adidas Originals and N.E.R.D. member Pharrell Williams have come together again for a new colorway of the PW HU NMD N.E.R.D. sneaker.
The previously-seen sneaker presents a Primeknit and BOOST build, mixing together a palette of “Chalk,” “Clear Mint,” “Glow Orange,” and “Icy Blue,” which is then enhanced with several intricate design details. For example, N.E.R.D. ‘s moniker adorns the right foot while Japanese calligraphy is donned on the left foot in tonal embroidery, and on the rear heel tab of the right pair, you can see the N.E.R.D. brain logo.
Meanwhile, on the left, you’ll find the number “20” in the group’s signature font, while each foot features an interior with different hues, in an effort to maintain the asymmetric look.
The color-blocking extends to the midsole plugs that are embedded into the foundations of the full-length BOOST sole unit, while “Clear Mint” outsoles give the pair a round look. Like some of the previous pairs, this will be a more widely available drop as opposed to the super-limited versions that came out previously, in the early days of the HU NMD’s life, like the “Y.O.U. N.E.R.D.” pairs.
adidas Originals will drop the PW HU NMD N.E.R.D. on August 6 globally via its CONFIRMED app and the pair will also be available at select retailers worldwide.
