Continuing the Three Stripes’ recently-announced A-ZX Series with a collaborative take on the ZX 9000 are the Boston-based imprint Concepts and adidas Originals.
They were influenced from the mylar recovery blankets used to keep runners warm after they complete the famously challenging Boston marathon. The upper of the silhouette has a metallic silver leather makeover, which is offset by a tricolored selection of stripes on the mid-panel,translucent TPU overlays on the upper, a navy blue heel cage and a matching eye stay, as well as speckled laces that are finished with “A-ZX Series” and “Concepts” branding. A white Torsion-equipped sole unit complete with a tri-color effect, dual-branded tongue tags, and a touch of light gray suede on the vamp and toe are presented by the duo’s ZX 9000.
This sneaker comes in a white box, which links back to adidas Originals’ A-ZX Series. The sneaker will release on September 6 at Concepts stores and on its website, and will later release on September 12 via adidas’ website and stores. Pricing is set at $140 USD.
