In order to celebrate Space Jam: A New Legacy, Converse has unveiled a new capsule of Chuck 70s. This fresh new collection is an acclamation to the various characters of the Tune Squad, including their newest high-profile recruit.
The first iteration of the Chuck 70 high is constructed of an all-black upper, which serves as a base to the images of Bugs, Lola, Daffy, Marvin the Martian and Taz. Completing the Tune Squad-themed look is a light blue lining and orange detailing on the Converse branding and tongue tab. This sneaker was a tribute to the Tune Squad’s returning players, whereas the second Chuck 70 iteration is designed specifically for the team’s new member, LeBron James. In this shoe, the upper is covered in the Looney Tunes rings, expanding from the Converse patch, while the lateral side of each shoe also features eye-catching 3D branding for the Tune Squad and James’ number 6 uniform.
Grab a glimpse of the “New Legacy” pack from Converse and Space collection below. The capsule is scheduled for a release via the Nike web store on July 16, the same day as the movie hits theaters.
