Addition to the popular New Balance 2002R GALLERY project, Shenzen-based retailer COSTS has joined hands with Japanese label FDMTL for a reupholstered sneaker model.
The team up features five different fabrics as a tribute to the traditional Japanese denim craftsmanship. The upper found on the voguish take is inspired by the age old tradition consists of pearl weave bottom overlays of twinning blue suede. Also featuring Sashiko fabric is used on the tongue and heel of the shoe.
Branding arrives in the form of embossed insoles, framed “N” emblem at the midfoot, embroidery at the vamp and tongue, printed New Balance and 2002R hits located at the rear and co-branded laces underlined. Concluding the design of the shoes are blue sock liners and ABZORB heel pillowing with the Stability Web and N-ergy outsole furnish arch support and shock absorption and follow up the blue tones of the upper. Additionally, each shoebox that showcases a detachable details that discloses COSTS’ mainstream pattern.
COSTS’ FDMTL x New Balance 2002R collaboration will be available exclusively at COSTS and FDMTL locations mid November.
