To commemorate the legacy of Jason Voorhees and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the cult classic slasher “Friday the 13th”, designer cum artist Warren Lotas will be releasing a pair of custom Nike Dunks.
A first look at the pair might remind you of the unofficial collaboration of Nike and Heineken on their Nike SB dunk lows, but the construction and the purpose is of course different and unique in itself. Crafted with various types of leather, the limited edition is dressed up in white and green. The swoosh sports a subtle Cream color with red and black detailing. The detailing is a nod to the iconic hockey mask worn by Voorhees in the franchise. Red laces on the shoe create the much required contrast and enhances the overall look of the sneaker that has been completed with a green mid-sole and white out-sole.
This shoe will retail at a price of $300, well its justified because its limited to 2,000 pairs only! It will be available on Lotas’ website from 2nd of August. The interesting part here is that the shoes will only be in possession until late September due to international freight shipping times, and if the shoes are unable to ship before October 15, he (Lotas) will send a $100 bill along with the shoe!
