Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is the new face of Louis Vuitton making her the first South Asian celebrity from Bollywood and beyond to be named ambassador of this iconic French luxury brand.
She has been quietly racking up accolades. First, she was named as part of the highly prestigious jury at the Cannes International Film Festival and now Louis Vuitton has taken notice.
Now as the latest ambassador for their Pre-Fall 2022 Dauphine line of leather goods, Padukone can be seen in their latest marketing campaign. This makes her the very first Indian actress to covet such a title.
It seems that French luxury brands are taking notice of the value of inclusivity. First Chanel named Leena Nair as their Global CEO, and now Deepika Padukone is part of an elite exclusive club representing one of the most coveted labels on the global market.
Other Pre-Fall 2022 celebs that are part of the Louis Vuitton exclusive look book include Emma Roberts, Sophie Turner, and Chloe Grace Moretz. She shared the news on her Instagram “” I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Louis Vuitton family! To be a part of Nicholas Ghesquiere’s vision for the world’s most iconic brand is not only exciting but also very humbling!”
Congrats to Deepika for breaking barriers and living the Vuitton life.
