Sacai unveiled their upcoming SS21 collection via online channels back in August. The lookbook apart from the apparel also gave a glimpse of Chitose Abe’s upcoming project with Nike: a set of Blazer Lows and follow-up colorways of the VaporWaffle. The latter, which is getting ready to come out in the “Sesame” in the future but at present the more vibrant “Dark Iris” was spotted via insiders.
The “Dark Iris” differentiates itself from the bunch with an updated construction and a fresh color blocking. The earlier releases seemed to have opted for the two-toned arrangement, however the upper for this iteration arrives in a single note. Titular purple is the shade opted for a majority of the shoe, covering the nylon base, suede and leather panels dressing the shoe’s forefoot and rear. “Campfire Orange” is used minorly by marking one of the swooshes and the heel tab connection towards the backside. The tooling, inner tongue and lining in slight departure and conclusion with a bright white tone.
Expect the pair to arrive on Nike SNKRS and select retailers in the upcoming months.
