After the announcement of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Multi-Color’ for Holiday 2021, sneakerheads are yet again on the fence about the revelation of another ‘mix-and-match’ Jordan 1 shoe, called the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Hand Crafted’. The sneaker is set to launch by the end of 2021 and is certainly a viable option to be considered, especially after the disapproval of the ‘Multi-Color’ colorway by sneakerheads.
The ‘Hand Crafted’ colorway maintains a similar aesthetic of mix and match, and randomized color blocking, with a light leather base. From here, we notice the distinctive pigments on each of the panels, some even have two that are the same. While both the toe and heels can be seen in different shades of green, the forefoot overalls feature a combination of maroon and brown. The eyelets, ankle flaps, and emblematic wings possess dual shades of chocolate brown. Just below that, a pinstriped leather is featured on the collar, and underneath that, the quarter panel of the pair is tinted in lavender, similar to the detail on the ‘Multi-Color’ colorway. Along with this, the pair also boasts black nylon tongues and shades of black on the Swoosh and outsoles. The pair comes with a two-toned black and infrared laces.
All of these details seem to work exceptionally well together while holding up the quintessence of the mix and match aesthetic. With the retail price set at $170 USD, these are surely expected to sell out quickly and go up in resale.
