Donovan Mitchell Honors His Alma Mater With This adidas D.O.N. Issue #2 “Louisville” Colorway
After being a part of Pharrell’s 19-Piece “Triple Black” collection, the adidas D.O.N. Issue #2 will now be arriving in the Louisville-themed colorway. The colorway is a tribute to the University of Louisville, the institution where Donovan Mitchell pursued his college education.
With his mom being an elementary school teacher, Donovan Mitchell values education greatly. His past collaboration with Crayola respected the teachers and educators across the nation. With the upcoming D.O.N. Issue #2, Mitchell hopes to assist Black students attending his alma mater via scholarships.
Following the season, the basketball shoe is appropriately dressed in a cardigan theme with the most prominent being the black tone coating on the lateral side of the shoe, the midsoles, liners and overlays. Walking behind it is the “Team Power Red” tone covering the underlay, quarter panel and synthetic heels. The tongue features a “Louisville First” banner while the heels spell out “The Ville”. Outsoles are colored with cardinal mascot protected by the translucent shells.
The kicks are available at adidas for a price of $100 USD.
