The Dover Street Market Nike Dunk Low collaboration was spotted back in May 2021, where we saw the white pair before a closer look of the black pair came in July, and now Rei Kawakubo and Adrian Joffe‘s luxury multi-brand retailer has provided us with an official look at the soon-coming collaboration.
Both the colorways appear entirely in velvet, with tonal makeovers that give the shoe a distinctive aesthetic. Dunks are primarily offered as the base for bright colors and wild designs — here, a mini Swoosh has been embroidered into the lateral front-quarter, while DSM and Nike branding comes over the left and right heels respectively, also embroidered in tonal hues.
The Nike tongue tag is, yet again, tonal here so are the laces and the insole, which is where we can see the signature DSM-house-shaped logo. Standard details such as a perforated toe box still remain, and the sole unit is served in its usual form.
The release date for the Dover Street Market x Nike Dunk Low in black and white velvet is yet to be announced.
