After a few collaborations with Levi’s and 3X1, Nike is moving on to their next indigo collaboration, hitting up the Dutch label Denham this time, for an Air Max 1 sneaker. Keeping in mind the fact that their skill lies in denim wholeheartedly, the label is introducing some Eastern influence as the upper runs packed with a traditional technique, known as Boro Stitch. The wide strings mark almost the entirety of the upper, except the suede mudguards, accented in white on a base of deep blues. Vertical or even horizontal based on the panel, the fixes suddenly turn into a pattern, at the toe box and ankle, a Shibori-inspired treatment that apparently impersonates a ripstop grid. Heel tabs and tongue patches then finish off the upper with tan leathers, while scissors and Denham marking mark the insole and lining, respectively. No official word on release info yet, but sneaker insiders are saying it will be a small batch of only 6800 pairs.
