Earthy Tones Outfit This Striking Patta x New Balance 991 Collaboration 

In continuation of the explosive releases in the previous year,  New Balance shows no signs of stopping and has a variety of releases planned in the upcoming months, latest being the 991 collaboration with Patta. The upcoming collaboration is in a way a follow-up from the Club C team up with Reebok towards the end of 2020.

Last seen together was way back in September 2020 when they worked together on the 920 silhouette. The collaboration focused mainly on the usage of earthy materials in terms of craftsmanship which seems to be the theme once more.

For the 991, the shade opted for is terracotta clay with buttery suede overlays while the laces and underlying mesh materials are in a jade and green mix. Adjacent to which is the lighter tan on the overlays present on the forefoot, heels and lower heel mold. Famous “N” logos and other branding on the tongues and heel windows are in a traditional grey with a white trim. A “Patta” spell out in a white embroidery was also spotted on the rear.

All of which rests on an ABZORB-cushioned midsole in double tones with beige on the back and white on the front. Wrapping up the shoe is a treading in an all-black finish.

With no confirmation on the retail price yet, retailers such as Naked have speculated for the release to be around January 29.
