Nike SB has been adding up to this year’s surprises as they team up with First Avenue in Minneapolis. This collaboration has resulted in a celebration of life, career and mystique of the legend, Prince in the form of a Dunk Low.
Although it’s subtle and far away from the looks of the iconic Prince himself, its brick-inspired embossing and plentiful star motifs, the pair aptly reflects his location of homage. It’s dyed black like the walls of so, the leathers throughout the construction ray an energy similar to First Avenue while laces honor the “Purple Rain” and Swooshes/heel tab shine reflectively. Stars atop the toe box as well as the rear and a ticket to artist’s performance on 3 April can be found printed on the insole.
The release date is expected to be around the end of the year at select retailers and Nike SNKRS. Here’s a quick look at the pretty pair below.
