Jordan Brand athlete Jayson Tatum might have just confirmed one of the biggest releases of 2020: the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey”. Often confused to be an OG colourway, it actually arrived in 2001, where Michael wore them during his days as a Wizard. The nubuck and patent leather upper comes in a soothing grey shade, and was an instant classic. The pair returned once again in 2010, and that was the last time it was seen on the shelfs at retail. It keeps popping up in discussions around the community, with people dying for a retro, since what seems like forever. Now, a decade since it’s last release, it appears that the pair will be returning, but it won’t be a true to the original. Tatum took to Snapchat to flex a gift he was sent from the Brand, unboxing a fresh pair of Cool Grey 11s, which differed in construction, using mesh and high cut patent leather. A sample pair like this one did surface in 2010, but was never released. A release date is not confirmed yet, but it will most probably drop for the holiday season.
