Jordan Brand’s retro rampage continues with the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Georgetown”. In its next iteration of the OG-spec sneaker, Nike will once again dig deep into its archive to find an absolute gem that will serve as inspiration. According to zsneakerheadz, this pair would have a similar design to that of the early Georgetown Air Jordan 1 samples from the mid-1980s.
Peter Moore previously worked on the Dunks before designing the Air Jordan 1, so it was only natural for college colours to show during sampling. Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Georgetown” is expected to release in much the same style in 2022. Tech Grey leather uppers, Navy leather overlays and rubber outsoles, and white nylon tongues and midsoles are expected. It seems unlikely that the Hoyas embroidery will replace the Wings motif.
@earlypairs has released a first look at the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Georgetown.” As expected, the model pays tribute to the original Hoyas sample.
