The Doernbecher Freestyle program will return later this month, after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 epidemic, where the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital will virtually debut the new collection on February 25th. But it looks like we won’t have to wait long for our first peek at the collection since the very first (suspected) glance at this year’s Air Jordan 5 Low Doernbecher has just surfaced online.
First looks reveal a glimpse into the young man’s life through a variety of colors, textures, and playful finishes, such as fighter jet-inspired eyes under the midfoot mesh to match the teeth below, multi-color liners and aglets, and take Flight branding on the lateral panel, all designed by patient Michael Wilson. Mac n Cheese designs abound on the blue suede uppers, which also include a matching dubrae, as well as extra heel pulls and MDW branding in the rear.
On February 25th, at 6:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. EST, the virtual launch of the 2022 Doernbecher Freestyle collection will take place. Tickets for the event are $50 USD.
