First Look at the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 “Yurt”
With his debut collaboration with New Balance, Salehe Bembury took the entire sneaker community by surprise. But also Salehe has been surprising the audience back from his days at Payless, working with Cole Haan, Yeezy, Versace, and at last out on his own. Right from his debut “Peace Be the Journey” 2002R which was released in October last year, to his recent collaboration with the Crocs, it is now very obvious that Bembury has his vision strongly set on the great outdoors. His next partnership with New Balance is no different, as he teased the latest Salehe Bembury X New Balance 574 “Yurt”- a conventional portable house for the nomadic tribes in the steppes of Central Asia.
They too have a natural undyed look to their traditional animal skin-covered exteriors, which we can see here in the New Balance standard grey too. Though, this time it has more bone hue than the cool blues. Nowadays, there is a modern version for the Yurt which is often inflatable, having a nod at the added heel valve and ripstop tongues. Also, having co-branded tags throughout with pebbled ABZORB midsole having a grey insert and an outsole of rugged and rubber.
As of now, there is no such detail for the release of the pairs though it is expected to arrive before the year ends.
