The “Shattered Backboard” series is one of the most iconic themes ever to drape the Air Jordan series. After dropping in 3 variants in the Air Jordan 1 Highs, the theme will finally be making away amongst the lows.
As per Soleheatonfeet, a well known sneaker info leaker, the low top model is all set to release in an all new “Orange/White/Black” colorway in August 2021. Going by the mockup photo shared by zSneakerheadz, the uppers opt for a white base leather surrounded by vibrant orange overlays and a stark black Swoosh to contrast with. All of which rests on a white midsole paired with an orange outsole.
The “Shattered Backboard” theme debuted on an Air Jordan 1 High back in 2015 as a tribute to Michael Jordan’s backboard-shattering dunk during a 1985 Nike exhibition game in Italy with his orange jerseys providing inspiration for the bold color scheme.
As of now the pair is expected to release sometime this August for a retail price of $130 USD with more information to follow.
