The Concepts x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Otoro” (literally meaning – the fatty part of the saltwater tuna fish) has a rich influence of the Japanese history that honors the nation’s signature art styles and its love for the fish.
This time, the Concepts are dressed in the classic split-tongue trainer in tonal pink pigskins, light fleshy hues at the toe, slightly more saturated pigments at the mid panel and heel overlay. With rich red-pink pops in at the toe, collar and Tiger strip overlays, whilst also gracing the length of the outsole and midsole rise; cobranding on the outside is minimal. It has a simple sans-serif CONCEPT typeface branded into the left shoes lateral side with GEL-Lyte III on the right. The insoles are decorated in full-graphic prints that portrays Japanese art in the form of crashing waves and the fish in question.
