The debate and discussion around discrimination has unfolded exponentially in recent times. Events happening at present respond only to the calls of unity and togetherness, alas people and corporations have joined forces to tackle the situation. Coming together to create a product against discrimination, Philadelphia studio Garrixon, Footlocker’s Greenhouse and Diadora have produced a special edition of the Duratech Elite.
The pair was designed by a group of middle and high school students from ncorp(HER)ated’s 2019 Straight to Feet workshop, this particular “Limitless” edition of the Duratech Elite is comprised of multiple hues to match the multi-material construction. The Blue and Pink symbolize the end of gender stereotypes while the Diadora holographic logo signifies inclusivity among all. The belief that one could achieve anything if he/she wanted to if they put their mind into it irrespective of who they were is the root for the sneaker’s namesake.
The pair is scheduled for the 5th of February exclusively on the Greenhouse app for a retail price of $175 USD.
