It’s All Fun and Games Until Zara and PlayStation Drop a Sneaker
This collaboration right here might be the most unexpected collaboration that happened in the month of July, 2020. Yes, Sony teamed up with fast fashion brand Zara to drop a sneaker, although in kids size!
Well, Sony has teamed up with Nike in the past and worked on its Air Force 1 or Paul George Silhouette, but working with Zara to launch a sneaker was quiet unexpected. The shoe comes in a simple synthetic upper with grey panels and black lining, giving a nod to PlayStation 1. Of course the Play station branding on different parts of the shoe like the heel and the tongue patch. A PS 1 power button is present on the former part and a Play station Graphic on the latter. Furthermore the tabs on heel and the tongue are in black with the PlayStation branding. The most interesting part is the lace which is substituted by an elastic band and sports a triangle, circle, X and square just like the controller’s face buttons. The midsole is white and has a green air bubble unit for the purpose of cushioning. To round off the look, a grey outsole has been used.
This shoe is available in the Zara site but only in Kids size at the moment, till US 7. Retailing at $50 these are absolutely worth it! Let’s hope that they arrive in adult sizes very soon!
