Jaden Smith and New Balance are all pumped in bringing a new pink take on the popular Vision Racer to the spotlight to follow up last month’s “ReWorked” colorway. The youngest of the Smith son’s perspective for pizzazz and detailing justifies with the unique signature hue and the environmentally responsible material build of the latest Vision Racer.
The Vision Racer is the fusion of details from both the X-Racer and the 1700, both of which are Smith’s favorite New Balance silhouettes . Here, the upper mesh and suede is veiled in two ornate shades of pink, and adds reflective silver detailing on the lateral and medial midfoot alike for a pop of hi-vis style. The stamped piping with a repeating black ((VISION)) hit runs across the top half, while further branding arrives on the midfoot, heel and tongue tab. The lower part which is the ultra-thick midsoles live up to the blocky style and translucent outsoles with ((VISION)) and “Do You See It Yet?” hits round off the look. A set of black laces are included in case the user craves for extra contrast .
From the construction view , the Vision Racer includes everything from recycled polyester to insoles made partly of castor bean oil and midsoles made partially of reground EVA foam, all designed to reduce, reuse and recycle, therefore being mindful on wasteful construction.
The Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer in pink is set to release via the New Balance webstore, the Foot Locker webstore and Foot Locker’s Greenhouse app come May 14. Its MSRP will be set at $150 USD
