While October marks the beginning of Halloween and its celebrations, it also marks the start of the Day of the Dead. The multi-day festival, which largely originated in Mexico, brings together communities to remember the deceased. The Jordan Brand team and Nike have created a set of four sneakers with different holiday themes to commemorate the occasion this year. The Swoosh gives each of the Air Force 1 Low, Dunk High, and Air Max 1 vibrant, themed updates. The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT joins them.

Regarding Jordan Brand’s contribution, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT comes in a vivid colorway with all-over Day of the Dead motifs. The midfoot panel and the Swooshes of the mixed-material upper have references to the traditional flower of the dead, the cempaschil, in a light brown color. The collection’s trademark monarch butterfly emblem, which alludes to how monarch butterflies are thought to hold the spirits of the deceased, falls at the heel and sock liner to finish the design. A multicolored lateral Wings logo joins a matching tongue.

On October 18, Nike and a few stores will release the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Somos Familia” and the collection that goes along with it. You might anticipate being able to get this pair for $150 USD.
