Jordan brand’s choice for a collegiate football PE appears to be the Air Jordan 5 for the start of the year at least. Just after UNC Tar Heels revealed the powder blue pair images of the Oklahoma Sooners trait have arrived. Images of the pair were shared by Lincoln Riley – the individual responsible for shaping Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, both #1 overall picks in the NFL Draft and Heisman Trophy winners.
The Sooner’s PE flaunts the vibrant team tones with a variety of specific details. Uppers are painted in Sooner red with the elephant print from heel to toe. The translucent mesh netting makes its presence on the quarter panel and throat while the tongues are in tonal black with a white OU branding in embroidery. Concluding the details on the upper are a pair of classic white laces and a Nike Air branding on the heel. Moving downwards, the midsole features a clear Air cushioning unit in the heel while the forefoot opts for the toothed detailing in black. Outsoles are equipped with an icy blue translucent rubber and boast a large red OU logo stamped under the forefoot.
As the pair is crafted exclusively for Oklahoma football athletes, coaches and staff, the pair will not be receiving a release date.
