Just a while ago as the rumored release date was received for Sacai x NIKE’s latest release, another set of new clues for the collaboration has surfaced. The LDWaffle, seemingly the most noticeable style from Sacai x NIKE — has emerged as the focus of a redesign by the American artist KAWS.
Gearing up for Free Art’s NYC’s 21st Annual Art Auction, KAWS gave sneak peeks of the black and white iterations of the sneaker on his Instagram earlier this week, after official bidding.
Set to be received in unique autographed shoe boxes, each sneaker features playful graphics on the heel, atop a customized midsole, squiggles under a suede heel, and X-marked eyeballs that KAWS is famous for.
Bidding for each sneaker starts at noon on October 16 and will be accessible via the Artsy website.
