After producing over one million of these general-use face masks, and delivering over 13,000 pairs of footwear to healthcare workers, New Balance has just launched the NB Face Mask V3.
Designed with the general public in mind, the NB Face Mask V3 was made with feedback from medical and R&D institutions from New England, but it still has not been cleared, or approved by the FDA. The first prototype of the product was produced within 12 days, by a team of designers and industrial engineers. The NB Face Mask V3 comprises of a moldable nose piece, with a 3-layer combination of polyester/TPU, suede polyester fabric, nylon tricot, and polyurethane filtration foam. Furthermore, this face mask is non-sterile, durable, but lightweight and easy to breathe in, machine-washable, and it uses to over-ear loops to secure itself.
The NB Face Mask V3 gets assembled in Lawrence, MA and is now available in packs of three in the “Grey” colour, for $24.99 a pack at NewBalance’s website. New Balance aims to launch an athletic mask next month also, which will be available for sale, but in limited quantities.
