Nike has started focusing on more sustainable materials and technologies in order to minimize waste production and increase awareness regarding the need of preserving nature. After revealing the Space Hippie, Nike has now revealed the Air Force 1 “Crater” using recycled materials. The upper of the shoe consists of white tumbled leather panels, white shoelaces,tongue and sock-liner and a silver swoosh on the mid panel. The sole unit has a white mid sole with yellow colored “AIR” engraved on the rear but out sole is the interesting part. The grey colored out-sole with a rough speckled trash look is created using recycled, grinded and fabricated plastic waste materials.
