Nike has decided to put the recycled fabric into use and it has experimented it on its new silhouette such as “Space Hippe” and also on existing ones like the Air Jordans or Chuck 70’s. (Of course Converse is a brand that Nike owns as well). In order to reach out to other iconic Silhouettes as well, Nike has now done the same with it’s Air Max 90, the upper of which is covered up in recycled fabric.
Although this variant is more subtle and versatile than the previous ones, the upper makes the use of different materials that are left over during the process of production. The shoe is primarily grey atop which in complemented by a lighter shade along the inner parts. The swooshes are stitched with a neon thread which definitely pulls attention towards it. The tongue of this shoe has a totally different color palette and is dressed up in a mix of pastels scattered all over and a white patch which sports a faint volt Nike swoosh logo.
