Nike Air Jordan 5 Tokyo has been a holy grail for sneaker-heads all over the world with their resale prices hovering around at whopping $5000+. First released back in 2011 to mark the opening of the Jordan Tokyo 23 store in Japan, Jordan Brand prepared a special -edition and ultra-limited release; The Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo”.
So if you didn’t grab the opportunity to cop them, now is some good news here as an alternate pair is in production.
The upper is constructed in yellow suede with contrasting Wolf Grey on the tongue, eyelets, and webbing on the quarter panel.
The eye catching feature of this spectacular silhouette is the #23 imprinted on the heel in Japanese accent. The sample pictures brought in some highlighting features of the sock lining in white, orange and camo similar to that of 2007’s “Army Olive” Laser Air Jordan 5, and orange tongue lining on its 3M reflective tongue.
Reissue of this grail pair makes true sense marking Jordan Tokyo 23 store’s 10th Anniversary and the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021. Although some sneaker collectors are a bit despondent taking this reissue but still it is a great move by Jordan brand to bring back this silhouette.
The shoe is expected to land in somewhere around this year so just sit back and follow our page for regular updates.
