Nike has reforged menu of its classic silhouettes most of them being women’s exclusive. The Dunk Low Disrupt arrives with a design half composed of heritage elements and half replete with a fresh, near chaotic design language being the successor to the Dunk Sky Hi and the sacai x Dunk Lux before it.
The silhouette is tooling, a heavily accented, sculpted piece that borrows influence from basketball shoes of the mid-80s and is touted as a pillar of “non-conformed distortion. The template draws partially from the Air Train which is evident along the subtly perforated toe cap as well as the overtly vintage mesh tongue. The usual elements — swooshes, lace unit, and the like — are shone through an abstract filter of oversized swooshes, extended panels, and comically large pull tabs.
These sneakers are expected to release on Nike SNKRS come September 4th.
