Nike reveals a “Astronomy Blue” colorway Adapt BB 2.0
After dominating the world of basketball with it’s high end performance boosting technology, the Adapt BB 2.0 is back again in a different colorway. “Astronomy Blue”, as the name suggests, is a chilly blue color with speckled print perfect for hooping in the summer.
The upper of the shoe is covered in shades of blue and a mix of materials. The forefoot is primarily mesh, the collar is made up of leather and the a plastic fiber sculpted structure is used in the heel for support which has visible speckles in a lighter shade of blue. The Nike swoosh that sweeps across the top of the shoe is differentiated because of its texture and the swoosh on the medial side is grey but not color filled.
The midsole of the shoe is white with small sized speckles in blue. The Zoom X unit of the forefoot is blue in color and is visible in both the midsole and the outsole. The outsole is translucent with a abstract blue pattern underneath the layer.
Talking about the tech, the shoe offers a customizable fit which can be adjusted from one’s Android or iOS phone and also the buttons present on the midsole. The buttons denote the motors embedded in the EVA midsole which powers the shoe. The shoe is also packaged with charging pads which ensures that the motor of the shoe never runs dry!
Already available in Japan, this shoe will be available on the Nike store in a few weeks and will retail at it’s usual price of $400.
