Nike continues to drop the sneakers, which were originally set to be launched on EBYL summer league, which stands cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Following the revelation of athlete-exclusive pairs of Tie-Dye KD 13s and Kobe 5s, official images of the Nike Kobe 5 “EYBL” Forest Green have appeared, alongside information of an impending release, meaning that this may well be Nike’s first signature Kobe release since his untimely passing in January. It features a textured deep-green upper overlayed with light grey glaze at the toe, forefoot, and eyelets. Tongues, laces, and midsoles all match the aforementioned green hue, which is juxtaposed at the collar and liner’s vibrant yellow and coral pops.
