adidas Originals has given the Superstar colorful makeovers in its continuance, but none have been as avant-garde as the forthcoming collaboration with notitle.ltd.
notitle.ltd is a creative house that refuses to be called an “agency,” rather wanting to be more known for thinking of creative and inspiring results for brands to make an impact. This morality lead it to work with Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s THE CONVENI back in September 2020, and now it opens its creativity to an Adidas Originals Megastar collaboration.
Dubbed the “AEROSTAR,” the cooperative Megastar comes in two duplications white or black. The classic leather base has been fully covered in a fluffy nylon guard, looking like a duvet for your bases. This covering overlays the tongue and lace area, the mid-panels, the lingo, the collar, heel, and away around the shoe, and goes without heavy use of imprinting so to allow the redesign to speak for itself.
While product images are kindly vague, it seems that the lingo area comes together with the use of velcro to make the duvet upper fold on itself, still, this can be undone to make the shoe indeed more substantial with the lingo sections sticking out from the sides — which can be seen in the videotape over.
The pair is set to drop at retailers such as Billy’s Tokyo and atmos Tokyo on December 11, costing ¥16,500 JPY (approximately $145 USD).
