The year has been pretty special for the retros, with a lot of them being revived and gaining the respect they deserved. The Jumpman squad has decided to cease the year with what they started, another retro. The Air Jordan 12 in the “Varsity Red” colorway will be the final piece to the puzzle of Jordan Brand’s retro 2020 lineup.
A simple subtle double-toned shoe colored with the Chicago Bulls inspired “Varsity Red” and black from the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game”– a legendary pair worn by the legend Michael Jordan himself for Game 5 of the 1997 NBA finals Vs Utah Jazz. Uppers of the shoe arrive in a vibrant red suede with a pebble texture in stealth protected by a 3/4 length mudguard. Contrasting itself from the red are the black shades present on the lateral midfoot and a bit of toebox.
The Jumpman branding on the tongue and “TWO 3” spell-out are tonally detailed placing themselves right next to the lace stays which roll on a glossy black coating. Moving back towards the heels you will notice the banner, heel tabs and a few of the midsole pieces are painted in the burgundy shade.
The pair will be making itself available on Nike SNKRS and select retailers coming 26th of December for a price of $190 USD.
