Pharrell and NIGO Celebrate Decades-Long Connection With adidas Originals “Friendship” Pack 

Speaking of dynamic duos, Pharrell and NIGO have established themselves as the Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in street culture. From the start of Billionaire Boys Club in 2003 to the recent three-pack of adidas NMD Hu sneakers in 2019, they always had each other’s back and never let each other down. Fast forward to 2020, the duo will be seen together for the upcoming project with adidas originals. A four-style “Friendship” pack inclusive of 2 new colorways of the Tokio Solar Hu and a PW BOOST slide.

The reincarnation of adidas’s age-old Tokio, the Tokio Solar Hu will now feature a slim Primeknit upper dressed with suede overlays, leather textured Three stripe graphics and an elongated heel tab. All of it resting on a bouncy BOOST midsole and a Continental rubber outsole. Arriving in two colorways, the former rocks a warm orange hue with red and blue accents while the latter is dressed in a seafoam blue-green makeup.

The PW BOOST Slide is equipped with a sole to provide cloud comfort thanks to the BOOST tech. Dressed up in a tan shade with powder blue, simple yellow and dashes of red, the slide is accessorized with the signature Pharrell buckle on the front. Japanese embroidery translating to “You” and “Me” nods to NIGO’s heritage.

The sandals will be seeing a Japan exclusive release while the remaining pack will be available globally on the 18th of December on the adidas webstore. Shoes are priced at $180 USD while the sandals are priced at $100 USD.
