Following the latest release of the co-branded ZX8000 Super Earth sneaker, Adidas Originals and Sean Wotherspoon team up yet again for a kids iteration of the playful patchwork silhouette. With a strong motive of making our planet a better place, Sean in partnership with the Three Stripes aims to leave a ‘Legacy 4 Our Kids’. With a certain number of kids-appropriate adjustments to the classic look, the ZX8000 Wotherspoon Super Earth Infants silhouette is a tribute to the precious world in which we live and the next generation of planetary custodians.
To signify the immense diversity of our planet, the construction is composed of an entirely patchwork upper; piecing together contrasting yet complimentary textiles, patterns, and fabrics. On the other hand, to maintain the collaboration’s unique aesthetic language, the ZX8000 Wotherspoon Super Earth Infants sneaker shares many of the details with its adult counterpart, some of them being multiple lace options, Super Earth graphics on the tongues and heel tabs, as well as floral embroidery throughout. Never one to miss out on crucial details, however, in this special kids version Sean has deployed shorter threads which fray less. As we see the adult version came replete with an additional plush toy hang tag, whereas the kids make-up transforms the unique accessory into a detachable lace cover.
Continuing ‘Legacy 4 Our Kids’, the adidas Originals ZX8000 Wotherspoon Super Earth Infants sneaker will have a global release on the 13th of June, and will be available on adidas.com and select adidas retailers. The kicks are priced at a retail of INR 7,999
