Slam Jam Adds Light Subversion To The Nike Dunk High

Last year, the Nike Dunk teamed up with several names through nearly every industry, some the fanatics of Travis Scott while others the brand appreciation of ice cream producers Ben & Jerry’s. Alongside, the label has enlisted quite a bit of influence from skate shops as well as boutiques and they’re soon to introduce Slam Jam to the list of upcoming Fall allies.

Well-known as their classic, an upside-down Swoosh is seen on the heel, mirroring the subversive ideas that the retailer often thinks as their comfort zone. But everywhere, the idea is kept relatively simple as an indulgence into the sneaker’s consistent roots in sneaker history. Said to be a true-to-fit for the imprint’s spirit, owner Luca Benini has chosen to deliver the silhouette in both a tonal grey and black/white iterations, each imbued with the very same logos. Semi-transparent soles add a subtle but quite distinct explanation, marked over at the mid-panel and toe box by a series of ornamental ventilations. Moreover, the profile check is substituted with a synthetic mold that extends pass the ankle flap in glossy, hard shell finish.

Enjoy a detailed look at both pairs here and expect the Light Grey to release October 3rd only at Slam Jam while the Black one on a broader scale across retailers worldwide.
