Chicago based retailer SNIPES recently summoned Matthew Senna to design a special anniversary pair of Jordan XIs. Titled the “Study 011: Silver”, it is a chromed out sculpture of the Nike Air Jordan XI. The attention to detail is key in this pair – actual textures on the midsole, lace tops and the embroidered Jordan logo on the rear panel. The chrome Jordan XIs arrive in a custom made aluminum briefcase with Matthew’s autograph on either, cementing the artist’s fashionable work. The sculpture is a tribute to the XIs which were first seen in 1995.
SNIPES will be raffling off the sculpture to shoppers visiting the store. Alongside the raffle of the metallic XIs, the store will also have an immersive experience surrounding the XIs and, inclusive of an infinity room dedicated to the pair.
