Nike and its SNKRS App have reportedly decided to postpone the release of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack silhouette considering the crowd surge that happened at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival earlier this month, which left 10 people dead and hundreds more injured.
The latest collaboration between Scott and Nike redesigns the sportswear company’s Air Max 1 silhouette in a range of colors. One of the silhouettes to emerge from the forthcoming collection appears in a Fall-ready camel, brown and wheat colorway with mesh underlays, reversed canvas Swooshes and pops of red throughout the silhouette. Another take of the Air Max 1 silhouette is drenched in a pale yellow color with a mesh base, nubuck overlays, reversed Swooshes, textured canvas material and complimentary black and brown checkered straps.
Initially set to release on the SNKRS app, the collection has since been postponed “out of respect” for those affected by the tragedy.
