The Whitaker Group has been in the headlines throughout this year because of its footwear collaborations, particularly for its Social Status entity that had previously dropped an exclusive Waffle One followed by the “Chocolate Mile” Dunk this year. And now, it’s reconvening with Nike to complete its Free Lunch-inspired collection with the launch of the Social Status x Nike “Free Lunch” Dunk makeup.
The shoe overall consists of materials and pink shadings in abundance. Having a premium leather material on the quarter panels and toe boxes dyed in a soft “Archaeo Pink” hue, whereas, the ankle flaps and tongues appear in a reddish-pink tone. Bits of velvet also get their moments to shine as they outfit the overlays that sit near the throat and toe boxes, and on the collars. Swooshes can be seen in two different forms, the former in a jelly form on the lateral and medial walls while the latter is in a tiny, embroidered form on the forefoots. Furthermore, the laces arrive in a thick, cord-like form, the tongues swap out the usual Nike branding for Social Status banners and the lower medial heels print out the “ingredients” for the kicks.
Social Status has reported that the shoe will be releasing on 15 October at 11 AM EDT via Social Status, with pricing for adults set at $130 USD, $80 USD for preschool sizes, and $70 USD.
