Keeping the collaboration game strong, Social Status has recently revealed a store-exclusive Nike Waffle One as a follow up to the earlier announcement of A Ma Maniére’s Air Jordan 3 collaboration.
The shoe gives out a aged, dyed aesthetic vibe mixed with new age technicality. Apart from serving as a medium to launch new shoes, the collaboration is Social Status’s latest project till date. Going by the looks of the shoe, one is reminded of the Daybreak with double-stacked heel clip slightly reminiscent of the sacai x Nike LD Waffle. The shoe’s TPE upper is painted in a rusty reddish brown tone overlaid with light shaded suede mudguards, eyestays and heels. Swooshes arrive printed in a faded black tone while the laces opt for the rusty tone akin to the upper. A secret swoosh in an orange tone is also spotted tucked away on the heel. The heel clip is painted in a silver shade supported with EVA foam midsoles in a yellow tone to contrast the uppers. Rounding off the shoe are a pair of black rubber outsoles with a waffle traction pattern.
With no announcement regarding the release date or price, a recent Instagram post has speculated the pair to be an Whitaker Group – exclusive release.
